Welcome Dragon Boat Teams!
2 Team documents; application and Athlete Waiver.
Your team will have at least 20 members including 18 paddlers, one drummer and one flag catcher with a minimum of 8 females among the paddlers. You may have a maximum of 25 team members. Capital City Dragon Boat Race will provide you with an experienced sternsman through the American Dragon Boat Association. We recommend that you register 20 team members plus 5 alternates. Team practice will take place on Saturday September 1st. Team Captains will be notified of their practice time. Race day is Sunday September 2nd from 8:30a to about 5p.
To register, you must return the completed application form with your check made payable to Team Lansing Foundation. Mail both to: Greater Lansing Sports Authority, Att: CCDBR, 500 E. Michigan Ave., Suite 180, Lansing, MI 48912. Payment must be made via check, cash or cashiers check.
The completed Team Roster/Athlete Waiver form must be turned in by the Team Captain at practice on Saturday September 1st (American Dragon Boat Association Athlete Waivers 2012).

Event Location
The Capital City Dragon Boat Race will run for 300 meters along the Grand River. The race course runs from the Lansing City Market north to Adado Riverfront Park. Spectators are welcome to watch from the east and west banks, or the Shiawasee St. Bridge.

Team Parking
Each team will be permitted to park one car on-site. Parking passes will be distributed at the Captain’s Meeting on September 01, 2012. Additional vehicle parking is available in City of Lansing parking structures near the park. We strongly encourage guests and participants to access the site via the Lansing River Trail, using the public transit system or by walking/biking to the event. There will be a bike valet service available.
